Tail up, claws down! March 14, 2008 Philip Heron (UK) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I've been looking forward to getting this show on DVD since I first caught it by accident on Five last year. The animation is impressive, the jokes are funny and the stories are some of the best I've seen in a cartoon in a long time, very well written and told - good enough that it got this 28 year old hooked! My only complaint, and the reason I can't give it the full 5 stars, is not with the show itself but rather the DVD. After such a long wait I was expecting something more, well,.. complete. This volume contains only the first 6 of 26 episodes in the first series. They are presented in lowly 4:3 (there's no excuse for that, Dragon looks better in 16:9!) and there are no extras at all. They have named it wrong too, the episode 'Dragon Rules' is not even on this volume. It will be on the second. Dragon deserves better!
Jane and the Dragon always a good watch March 11, 2008 Kevin. W. (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very good children story. Always good to watch, (even when your a bit older) Stories are about Jane a girl trying to become a knight and the antics she gets up to with the Dragon she befriends. (You don't get to see why they become friends, the story continues from when they are friends). Overall they are very light hearted enjoyable videos that can appeal to all age groups. Stories that you could watch, over and over again. Timeless.
