Absolutely brilliant! August 13, 2008 Totoro No Tonari (UK) My daughter loved this from the first time she saw it as a 14 month old. It's so gentle and genuinely funny making it a joy to watch over again as an adult as well as being captivating for little ones. Stephen Fry is fantastic as a narrator. The moral messages are clear and it's educational too. So much better than a lot of the rubbish on nowadays. This DVD is brilliant. Hooray for Pocoyo indeed!
Fantastic, just what your child needs (and you can stand rewatching yourself) July 31, 2008 Dmitri M. A. Hubbard (Hong Kong) This has several advantages for young children: 1) The wonderful comedian Stephen Fry as an understated narrator 2) Bright colours and 3d animation 3) Great use of language 4) Interesting educational scenarios for young children in a humorous light. The main characters are the baby Pocoyo (in blue), Ms Elly the pink elephant, Loula the yellow dog, Pato the ultra-cool duck, and sleepy bird. The episodes covered are - Hush, Pocoyo Dance, Drum Roll Please, Umbrella Umbrella, A Mystery Most Puzzling, A present for Elly, The Big Sneeze, Double Trouble, Sleepy Bird's Surprise, Swept Away, Who's on the Phone?, Fetch Loula Fetch!, A Little Cloud. You will end up rewatching things like this often as you get your child into a pattern every day. And, it is bearable for adults even after the 10th time.
Adorable! July 6, 2008 Mrs. Sara Al Sayer Narrated by Stephen Fry, and based on the adventures of a little boy and his animal friends, this is the most adorable children's tv programme. My 20 month old absolutely loves it - his little face lights up when it comes on. Pocoyo encourages children to interact with him, and I have found that my son knows the words to some things that I haven't taught him because of Pocoyo - umbrella for example! I think Pocoyo is so fantastic in fact, that in the decade that I have been using Amazon, I have never once written a review and I probably won't again, but Pocoyo is worth it!!!
Not just for Kids... March 27, 2008 Mr. N. S. Gibbins (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My wife and I are both 40 and we have no kids. I bought this instead of flowers one day and it has lasted much much longer. The style is lovely, the characters adorable and we both find it hilarious - it's just plain entertainment all the way. Try watching a couple of episodes after a hard day at work to wind down. Just the job!
Very good childrens entertainment July 22, 2007 Kirsty Mendis (Parramatta, NSW, Australia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this for my toddler son, and he absolutely loves it. It's nice to have a DVD that I can sit down and watch with my son, and Pocoyo is a cutesy & entertaining character. I wanted to get something that would be educational as well, and this is one of a few childrens characters that I would happily recommend to other parents. I think it would be appropriate for children up to the age of 4, so I don't think it'll be a DVD that we'll get tired of.
