Not just for kids... March 27, 2008 Mr. N. S. Gibbins (UK) As a previous reviewer says.. you could be 25 and still enjoy it. Jeez, I'm 40 and love it! Especially good for winding down after a hard days work. There's no quality issue on our copy so I expect the previous poster bought the wrong format - shame they had to take it out on the product even though they got it wrong. If you pine back to the days of the Clangers, Bagpuss and Magic Roundabout then this will sit quite nicely in your collection.
Bad transfer to DVD of a modern classic! February 26, 2008 A dissapointed customer (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pocoyo is a classic! Clever witty animation, story lines and music. Has a charm that captures the attention and hearts of everyone from 12 months old and up. Absolute brilliance and Steven Fry's narration is the icing on the cake. Unfortunately the muppet who transfered these episodes to DVD was an incompetent pillock. We bought this DVD for the kids so that we could free up some space on the PVR, unfortunately it appears that the resolution used to encode the video is about half that of what you get on Freeview, all edges are very noticeably jagged. OK the kids don't seem to mind but I do and so we still rely on the programs saved on the PVR and the DVD stays in it's box - a waste of money.
Best Kid's TV since The Hoobs and Sesame Street! October 20, 2007 Ms. E. H. Street (yorkshire, england) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm a huge believer in quality TV for tots and older children, TV that won't just mesmerise them with "pretty colours" and "gobbledegook" but that will actually teach them valuable lessons like saying sorry, being friends and playing fair! I simply adore little Pocoyo and his friends, I don't think anyone's too old for them, and I'd highly recommend them for all little people. The show is fun, funny and very imaginative, and can be watched endlessly even if you're 25. A pick-me-up for everyone and a real treat for young and old.
