Tweenies - Everybody Panto [VHS] [1999]

The latest member of the Tweenies bounds onto the screen in Doodles' New Friend. Izzles, the boisterous puppy, makes her debut appearance in this fab-a-rooney video for pre-schoolers. Alongside the familiar activities, songs and story-telling, Izzles brings a fresh element to the group. Each character reacts to the new arrival in a different way, from Jake, who's scared by the rumbustious pup, to Doodles who is seriously put out by the arrival of another dog in the house. In the end though it's Doodles himself, the Jimmy Durante of the canine world, who decides that it's time for a dog-to-dog talk and takes the young newcomer in hand. Doodles' New Friend is another entertaining and educational video from the BBC and cannot fail to appeal to the ever-growing army of Tweenies fans. --Helen Baker
