Boys love Bob the Builder! June 19, 2008 D. Eck My son just turned three but he's been into Bob the Builder for about a year now. He can't get enough of this video. He generally doesn't like TV (which is a good thing) and perfers to be "fixing" things, "building" things and digging but he loves this video and watches it over and over again. This gives my wife and I a chance to actually fix what he just "fixed." :)
Ha! Not Sure Who Enjoyed This More: My Two-Year-Old or Me! October 6, 2007 A.P. Fuchs 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I gotta hand it to the folks who make these shows. First, it's stop-motion animation, which is a pain to do (believe me, I've done it). Two, you got to tell a decent story in a short amount of time without it coming off as goofy. Well, guess what? This Bob the Builder installment nailed it and you get a few great stories out of the deal as well. However, I do have to admit Sumsy was a little strange, her shouting random numbers and all, but other than that, this volume is an absolute blast. I loved it. My two-year-old loved it. My wife loved it. Now I can't get that theme song out of my head. Recommended.

We bought this merely as a way for my husband and I to get a break from the other single Bob the Builder DVD our 1 1/2 year loves to watch. As much as I hate to admit it, I actually can tolerate the older one (Scoop's Favorite Adventures) much better. This much be newer vintage Bob - the voices on this DVD are extremely "English" (not that that's bad...). That given, there are various episodes with new characters and both my 4 1/2 and 1 1/2 year olds love this video.
