Product Description Take a rainbow journey with Dora and her friends! Share peppermints with Benny and lollipops with Isa, but watch out or the pesky Swiper will try to slow you down. The first to reach the fiesta wins! There's no reading required, so even the youngest Dora fans can play. For 2-4 players.
Amazon.com Review What could be better than a candy-themed fiesta with Dora, Diego, and Boots? Candyland, that venerable early-childhood board game gets spiced up with the cute characters of Nick Jr.'s Dora the Explorer cartoon show. Kids need not know how to read to enjoy the game because counting and color recognition guides them along this sweet path. Best of all, the game provides a learning opportunity for young readers since the game board has several objects and characters identified in both English and Spanish. The first player to make it to the fiesta at the end wins. Includes the game board, deck of game cards, English and Spanish instructions, and four character pawns: Dora, Diego, Boots, and Map/Backpack. --Porter B. Hall

An old favorite June 30, 2008 Elizabeth A. Hartshorn (Ohio) I love that a game I played with my 18 year old and 12 year old has been updated for my 4 year old who loves anything Dora.
Great Game for little Dora Fans! October 17, 2007 Jamie (Wisconsin) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just recieved this game in the mail today and played it with my daughter that is 3 1/2 years old, She loves Dora! She was very excited to play this game and it was hard to keep her from wanting to move the pieces in the wrong places. She wanted to play with all the characters but had to realize you can only use 2 of them when playing with just 2 people. She liked that at the end of the game Dora (or whomever you choose to play with) gets to go to a party at the end of the game. It is a fun game for little kids. I don't think this game is very educational for my daughter since she already knows all her colors. But, if it teaches patience, that might just help in the future. The figures that come with this game are pretty durable and can make nice little toys if your child became bored with the game.
Fun for all January 18, 2007 Alicia N. Chisholm (Mount Vernon, NY United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have always heard of Candy Land, but as a child, I never played that game. I did decide that it was time for my kids to learn about playig board games. They loved it. I got it for my three year old daughter (A big Dora Fan) and all she cared about at first was the big Dora picture on the box. I set up the game, and didn't have to tell her anything except: pick a card and move the amount of color spots that you are told. She understood right away. This is the perfect game to teach kids the main concept of playing board games. All of my other children love it (her twin brother and my 5 year old son). They all decide when they want to play, and each have their favorite game piece (the boys alternate between Diego and Boots). I can't help but play this game with them too. I highly recommend this game for children. As long as your child knows the main colors and can couunt to five, he/she can play this game. My only regret is not getting it sooner.
Highly Enjoyable! December 25, 2006 A. Katz (Haifa Israel) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this game for my nephews, 6.5 and 3.5 years, and we all enjoyed it very much. You don't need to count, you don't lose a dice - the idea with the cards is fantastic and we have started to use them to study a foreign language: each one picks a card a announces the color and number (one or two squares) in a foreign language and it becomes educational as well as great fun. Never boring!
WE LOVE IT December 2, 2006 Dawn Dellarocco (SHELTON, CT) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this game for my 5 year old niece Celina last year for CHRISTMAS, we Love it. We played it over my sisters house with my niece, her then 8 year old brother Buddy and my 77 year old mom. Grandma Lu even loves it and she even loves the Characters. Candy Land has always been a family favorite for all of us. Even my nephew likes it and he not a DORA fan. We had such fun playing it racing to Abuelas house for the fiesta. We played it four times in one day, and its great having the instructions in English as well as Spanish. I wish that they would come out with a Bob the Builder or THOMAS candy Land game for boys which would be great. This is such a cute game and it's well worth the money. Its one of the BEST GAMES EVER and even ADULTS as well as KIDS would have A BLAST PLAYING IT. THIS GAMES ROCKS.
