Great for little artists! December 20, 2008 Happy Mom (Beaverton, OR United States) This toy came as a gift for my 3 year old girl, she's a big fan of Dora and she loves to draw so this became a perfect match at the first place. The two tracing plastic sheets that come with the toy was something that my girl loves the most. She learned how to trace within a few minutes and she was proud to be able to draw Boots and Dora on her own! It's a great toy with much fun and let the young little ones explore with great imgaination when they draw. The plastic is very sturdy and not easy to bend or break, I highly recommend this toy for every little fan of Dora.
Great price September 11, 2008 Bargain Hunter This is an early Christmas gift for my daughter but I'm sure she'll love it since she's a big fan of Dora and she's played with her cousin's Doodle Pro and really had fun with it. She may be a little young for it, 2, but I couldn't pass it up because of the very low price and free shipping.
Great for Toddlers July 3, 2008 Heather White This is a great product for any youngster young enough to start wanting to color or draw but pleases both parties because there is no mess of crayons or pencil marks on everything but the paper you gave them. It has a button that talks and says about three phrases, not a big deal but cool for the kids, and a couple of tracing sheets. I love it because like I already mentioned, I tried the crayons and wonder crayolas, but this leaves no mess and is impossible to chew or swallow marker pieces and won't break. Hope you enjoy!!
Great for adults and children! July 23, 2007 RS (Nashville, Tennessee) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
First off, don't spend anything over $19.99 for this model. They can be found at Toys R Us for that price. I don't know why this one is being sold for almost $40 here. Even though this is a child's toy, it is not just for children. When I was a child we used to have a device that had a thin piece of pink plastic that covered over a hard white plastic bottom baseboard. When you wrote on it, the plastic would smash together and allow you to see what you wrote. This method worked poorly to say the least. The letters would start to disappear immediately. My hard witting is not as good as I want it to be. I have been doing handwriting exercises to improve it; but this wastes a lot of paper. So I went looking for the Pink Board. I found out that it had been replaced with this Magnetic-type board. The Doodle Pro seemed like the perfect tool for my needs and it truly is. The Doodle Pro is very solid. Made of hard plastic. It works by using thin Iron pieces locked in between two plastic sheets. When you use the magnetic pen, it drawls the Iron partials together and forms it into what ever shape you wrote it in. The idea works very well. You can shake this thing like crazy and the Iron pieces will stay in there place. When you write out letters, they stay pretty much as they would when written on a sheet of paper. Which makes it perfect for adults who are looking to improve their writing skills. So if you want to buy one of these for a child, it will withstand their abuse with ease. Just don't feel ashamed if you find it to be a useful tool for yourself. (((NOTE: Just make sure you buy a Doodle Pro and not some cheap Chinese knock-off. I wasted $30 on some piece of junk being sold here on this web site.)))
